top value for money November 27, 2005 82 out of 83 found this review helpful
Basing my review on unit cost, this stick is the best for the money. Ever used a stick and had the feeling it was going to come unstuck? nope, not with this beauty. Weighty feel to the stick gives a sense of confidence, it feels progressive when moving it.It's not too tall either, if you're (like me) using it on your desk above the pull-out keyboard drawer you don't tend to get any wrist ache. I think its great, really do, you won't be disappointed.
Fantastic joystick June 1, 2005 124 out of 129 found this review helpful
I bought this joystick to use with my Microsoft Flight Simulator games. It's a great joystick, and I can't find anything bad to say about it.Of course, there are better joysticks, but this is one of the best at this price. It comes with a CD-ROM which installs a profiler onto your PC so that you can configure the buttons with all your games. It is very easy to connect, as it has a USB connection. Just plug it in and play. The joystick is very easy to use (especially with the twist handle function) and provides maximum gameplay. It's not at all heavy and it is easy to keep clean. Definitely worth the price. A fantastic joystick.
Best joystick ever February 12, 2007 20 out of 20 found this review helpful
I have had this joystick for a year now and it is simply brilliant.
The controls dont get stuck and the throttle has pinpoint accuracy. I use for IL-2 sturmovik (Highly recommended PC game) and it is perfect. It really helps give a sense of realism to all flight sims and is superb value for money.
Better than the Cyborg EVO August 1, 2008 I got this control stick about 4 years ago and I've never had a problem with it, though I use it infrequently I find that each time I come back to it, it provides all the necessary buttons and binding options for whatever sim game I'm running. The positioning of the buttons on the left hand side on the base of the unit could have had a little more thought put in to their placement, but it is an obstacle soon over come and doesn't interfere with game play.
The cost of this control stick is it well worth it, it might not be as flash as the Cyborg control stick or have the options of countless adjustments available to the position of the grip etc. But from experience I found those features on other models to be not worth the extra cost, further more I only got myself this control stick to replace a Cyborg model that broke because of the ability to be adjusted.
Thank God for Logitech! October 22, 2008 I play a MMO game, that has some flight sim element in it. In the past I used the Logitech Wingman Extreme Pro, and that was a great old joystick. Last year though, after years of loyal service, it died on me (RIP). I then bought a new joystick, a Saitek wirelss top of the range one, which came highly reccomended. BIG MISTAKE. As it it was light weight, and totaly different from my old Logitech one.
Recenlty I just had enough with it, and went back to Logitech, and plumped for the Extrme 3D pro, as i liked what i read. I am so pleased I did, I'm in heaven with it. It's weight is just right, like my old one, its solid in a good way, and i just feel so much more in control & much more confident.
At the end of the day it comes down to personal choice, and for me, from now on, it's Logitech all the way.
