Very nice November 1, 2005 41 out of 42 found this review helpful
Bought this Logitech Rumble 2 (cordless) to replace my Saitek P2500 rumblepad. I wanted something cordless, and was influenced by the specific support offered by EA Sports games. I play Tiger Woods, NBA Live, FIFA, Madden etc. Having the pad specifically catered for was nice, but not essential. It also has 12 buttons, ten usable (+ two by pushing the analogue joysticks, which i disregard - too easy to press accidentally). Four on the right, four trigger buttons on the front, and two above the settings buttons for occasional use.Overall - it's very nice and i'm happy with it. It uses 2 x AA batteries; it claims the battery life is 100 hours of play. Don't know about that, but i got mine a week ago and it's showing no signs of dying. I use rechargeables anyway so no problem. And having no cable dragging around is a godsend :)
Logitech Rumblepad II April 6, 2006 29 out of 30 found this review helpful
The Logitech rumblepad's layout is identical to the standard PS2 controller but there is one striking difference, it's wireless! The controller has a very robust feel to it and looks perfectly designed, ready for the abuse most people will put it through. Setting it up is a doddle, but I'm an IT professional so I will leave that point well alone. I have tried the controller on various games such as Need For Speed - Most Wanted, Colin McRae Rally 2005 and the superb Elder Scrolls IV - Oblivion - worked perfectly, no lag at all. The little beasty also uses standard AA batteries instead of its own rechargeable battery pack like the Saitek wireless models. This was the main reason for me choosing the Logiteck over the Saitek. I have read many bad reviews online regarding the rechargeable battery packs, apparently they don't last 5 minutes in some people's cases oh and apparently they are very expensive if not impossible to replace. I have had no issues whatsoever with this device and highly recommend it to anyone thinking of purchasing a new controller for their PC and if, like myself you have setup your PC in your living room and like to chill back on your sofa, this is just pure poetry. I will be buying another one next month for dual wireless multiplaying. I suggest you do the same.

Good points,
Responsive buttons Rumble works like a dream Great reception, works from over 30 feet. Fantastic looks, matt black Feels great in the hands, solid and slightly heavy feel, makes it very comfortable to hold Excellent construction, top quality, very strong plastic. Great software, you can customize the buttons fully. Battery life, last for ages. Price, can't beat it at this price

Top-quality controller February 12, 2007 11 out of 12 found this review helpful
I have recently purchased two of these controllers and must say they have exceded my every expectation.
The controllers themselves are very good quality and feel sturdy and robust in your hand, as good as any controller I have used on any console, and in my view considerably better than the standard Playstation 2 and XBox 360 controllers I've been using recently. The design is essentially a copy of the Playstation 2 format waith a few extra buttons added to the front centre.
Technically the performance is flawless. Prior to purchase I was initially concerned there may be a time delay between action and response but have been completely unable to detect any difference at all between these controllers and the corded controllers which are the norm. Also the controllers work effortlessly at every distance I have tried and even through walls, which means I can sit in my living room and play a game on a remote monitor whilst my PC hums away merrily in the bedroom. Aside from this, the original reason I went for cordless gameplay was down to the simply enormous number of cables coming out the back of my PC and the fact that previously I have found that you can quite easliy put out printer cables etc during enthusiastic gameplay. That problem is thankfuly now solved.
My only slight criticism is the "Controller Profiler" software which caused one of my controllers not to function. I simply switched the software off and the problem was solved.
First class all round.
