More things! April 6, 2007 51 out of 55 found this review helpful
It's a simple review for a simple product - if you love The Sims 2 and have all the other add on packs, you'll probably like this too. You get some general party and wedding party items (things like decorations, seating, wedding cake) and general and wedding party decorating schemes (wallpapers, carpet of flower petals etc). It's the same deal as the other add-ons, like Glamour stuff etc, ie some extra in game items, but nothing too radical or exciting really. It's nice if you play the game lots and want to add something to your parties and wedding scenes, or run a business (if you have the Business Expansion pack) based around these concepts, but it doesn't add huge amounts to the actual game play itself.
I brought it as I *love* the sims and play it way too often, so have every add on and expansion, but if you're not that fussed it's probably not really worth it, or wait until it's been out a while and it will feature in one of those '3 for 15' type deals at various game shops etc.
Celebration Stuff September 9, 2007 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
This is the perfect game if you are always throwing parties with your sims. This has some must-have accessories and fashions for every age, except toddler who get everyday instead. I recomend this to party lovers, but to everyone else who wants stuff, get H&M Fashion Stuff, sooo much better.
Good if you like parties and weddings July 9, 2008 If you plan on buying this, please remember that this is a STUFF pack, not an expansion, therefore all it will add is new items, clothes, hairstyles and accessories. It will not add new interactions, that is never the point of stuff packs; they simply add 'stuff'.
If you are a Simmer who loves making the most of your Sims birthdays or weddings then I would highly recommend this. The new formal wear is really good; you get wedding dresses, bridesmaid dresses, and new suits for the guys. The objects are really nice too, you get a new wedding arch, chairs, tables, birthday and wedding cakes etc etc. A surprising feature is that everything in this game is colour coordinated, which for a game where nothing ever matches, is great. The base game is seriously lacking in any celebratory-type things.
Overall, this is a great little pack and if you want to make the most of your Sims big days then this is a good one to have!
AVERAGE.... August 26, 2007 3 out of 11 found this review helpful
You would be much better gettting sims 2 pets it doesn't really enhance your celebration much but I suppose it has a few good formal wear for must ages ... Dont buy this buy bon voyage!!!!!!!!!!
cashing in... May 30, 2008 It does feel that with all these stuff packs, the makers of the Sims 2 just want to cash in on a good idea for minimum effort... all the items are quite nice; they glam up my sims weddings and parties a little, but there's nothing special or worth paying 10 quid for here... a couple of candles, tables and sort of mathcing dining chairs, all kinda garish and unvarying in design. Also, there are only new outfits for weddings... i was hoping for some party frocks, and a bit more imagination than a few different shades of grey tuxes for the male sims.
suprise us with the next stuff pack please!
