 A worthy addition to the Conan Franchise - buy it, you won't regret it! October 1, 2007

Bought the game yesterday - and it is absolutely fantastic. I am really enjoying the game. It is very difficult to prise yourself away from the console to do anything else!
It reminds me of a favorite game on the PC called 'Blade of Severance' The graphics are not in the same league as 'Gears of War' or a 'Killzone' but they are still beautiful. As an owner (and fan of) God of war 1 & 2, in my opinion they are better. The higher resolution makes the difference, and the makers have captured the ambience and atmosphere of the Conan world perfectly. The audio is very good too.
I don't think the Videos online do this game justice at all. I've played it a Samsung 226CW PC LCD screen and on an Epson Projector and the game looks stunning on both.
Admittedly, the cut scenes are it's weakest part especially if you were to compare them to Heavenly sword but they do the job of progressing the story. The game-play itself is superb. Arms, legs, and yes Heads too all come flying off sometimes in slowmo when you perfect a particular attack. There are loads of cool moves to learn as well.
The other thing I really like about the game compared to God of war, is that I prefer the weapons used. You can use Two-handed swords and pole-blades, single swords or axes with a shield or two swords. The bloody combat seems more realistic than when you are swinging two blades around on the end of chains. You can see more of the action during close combat. Plus they have modelled the Conan character brilliantly.
This is one of my favourite games at the moment..

Great and really fun game. Plenty of blood, guts, and slow-mo death sequence. Loads of moves to learn, with one or two weapons. Nice graphics. You will enjoy learning to dis-member you foes in various ways, and its hard not smile as you do it.

Very much like Heavenly Sword in places, such as the first 'boss' battle in an arena with the big man facing waves of enemies cast down by the bad man. The voice acting and dialogue are cheesy enough to have come straight from a Conan movie and match the game perfectly. Weapons are well balanced and overall the gameplay is pretty smooth.
A definite purchase if you like hack and slash!!!

This game is so much fun! Slice the hell out of your enemies, loads of moves to learn and lots of different upgrades. Fight your way through pirates, lions huge gorillas, flying lizard things and more. One of the best things i thought, was the topless women you get to save through out the game with their classic catchphrases when you rescue them. It's Great, trust.

Basically, PS3 isn't the word for this Conan title, it's definetly more of a PS2 job.
The graphics are nothing to get too excited over, the movie interludes are also nothing that will blow you away. It's definetly late PS2.
Now to the gameplay, what we're interested in! - This is actually a really good game for gameplay.. It's something you can carry on playing over and over, because it isn't really all that hard and some of the kills are pretty gruesome, like actually chopping people in half!
If you want to buy this game, wait for after christmas.. I have a friend who deals with selling computer games online and he told me that this game is currently not much of a seller with him, and that the RRP of this game is getting dropped after christmas.
So hold your horses! Please!!
