Before I begin, let me just say that I've only played the demo of Condemned 2: Bloodshot by downloading it from the US Playstation Store [which is easily done considering im in the UK] and might i say what a game.
Now, i don't know much about the plot but the actual gameplay itself is incredibly refreshing. The L1/R1 attacks work really well, not just using your fists but Electric Conduits, False Arms and Legs, Bricks, basically ANYTHING you can get your grubby mitts on! The enemies you'll be taking on range from strange oil like demons, to crazed tramps, hell-bent on beating you senseless in the dark, gritty alleyways.
It all works brilliantly together as the animations look incredibly realistic, even as you throw and kick your enemines about the place.
As for the graphics, absolutely top-notch lighting effects, to the painstaking detail of the environments all come together to create a truly creepy gaming experience.
Now, just from the demo, its clear that this game is an '18' rating and rightfully so. But DON'T let that put you off, even when the gore starts spraying, just sit back, enjoy, and scare yourself silly!

Took a chance on this game and bought it before renting it. I have to say it was an excellent decision. The game is very dark and disturbing in some parts and follows an interesting storyline. It certainly made me jump at times. What I enjoyed about Condemned was the vast array of weaponry used to take out the enemies. Every level is littered with different items to inflict some nasty damage. Whether you are fighting psychotic clowns, zombies, exploding dolls or drugged up tramps you can enjoy sending them to their deaths by caving heads in with bowling balls, 2x4s, bats, axes, lead pipes...or even slice them up with ancient broad swords.
The hand to hand combos are simple to use if you want to use your fists, you can also grab a stunned enemy and perform an `environmental kill'. For example if you stun an enemy near a glass case - you will be prompted to drag them to the case and smash their face into it. Every level has different environmental kills as well as weapons. As you progress, more combos are unlockable plus loads of extra upgrades.
IGNORE the griping from other users about the sound. It's not great but it really is very minor, it's a sombre, dark game - the gameplay is great and you will be too busy slotting the bad guys to notice.
All in all a good game that is addictive and violently satisfying.

I took a risk and bought this game the day it was released and im pleased i did. The single player mode on this game is very good and you can get involved with what the game has to offer (forensics for instance), game play is good and disturbing in parts and you have to think with what you do and where you go in this game which also helps you get involved in it. The combat is brilliant and brutal!. Ther are some sound faults but these generally go un-noticed and can be fixed with a patch, but it's not that bad. However online isn't very good, i'd give that 2.5 stars because the maps are small and enclosed and its gets mad when there is more than two people fighting each other, which happens alot. Don't buy for online, Buy it for single player!!!! FANTASTIC!!!

i can't do this game justice. it totally wasn't what i expected its really scaring and the combat system works well.
buy this game and you won't regret it!!
it is pretty violent tho definetly not for under 18s

range of weapons is huge
combat system is awesome
fairly long campaign
makes you think
most violent and gory game ever made
graphics and gameplay are awesome
