5 out of 5 stars Short and sweet   March 31, 2008

I am a huge Lost fan & not much of a gamer, so this is written from a Lost fan's point of view.

The game follows a new character through the same fears & trust issues that the island brings to the original characters of Lost, but adds a new dimension with this character's own flashbacks and encounters. At the end of each chapter, you get the atmospheric sound effect that has become so well known as Lost's 'theme' and the beginning of a new chapter refreshes your memory on the previous happenings both on the island & in the flashbacks in a similar way to the beginning of an episode of Lost. This gives the whole game the feel of watching Lost, but also being involved and making decisions for the character.

Two little things bugged me - Firstly if you die, often you have to go back to the start of the chapter and watch the 'update' and flashbacks again - this can take about a minute each time & is quite boring, especially if you are prone to dying, like I am! Secondly, the game is REALLY short. It took me eight evenings to complete (not played intensely), which compared with Ratchet & Clank or Drakes Fortune is unbelievably short.

That said, I don't regret spending the money on it - it's a fantastic extra dimension to Lost that finishes with a nice twist at the end.

I was nearly put off by the bad reviews of Lost, but I'm glad I still went for it!! Its really good, can't fault it! Yes it can get tricky in caves but games have to be challenging and you soon get past it.
The game has exceeded my expectations, I enjoy the dialogue between the characters that we know on the screen and my own character. I enjoy the quests. Buy this game espcially if you like Lost as it feels like your making your own Lost Programme!! its very entertaining and ultimately a fantastic game!

a lot of people were dissapointed with this game but i liked it.
if you have a PS3 and you are a fan of 'lost', then give it a go.
even though i like it, i would suggest renting it or borrowing it from a friend first since a lot of people were dissapointed. then, if you like it, come back and buy it.
it includes all the important parts from the show as well as letting you learn about a new character that fits into the story very well.
the graphics and the music are great. so is the idea of interacting with the flashbacks.
the only down side is the lack of the actors voiceovers. the following of the shows actors provided their voices: Emilie de Ravin(Claire) Yunjin Kim(Sun) Michael Emmerson(Ben) Henry Ian Cusick(Desmond) and a few others. the other voices were done by pretty bad impressionists.
other than that i think it's worth a go, but like i said, try renting it first.

just getting stuck into this wonderful addition to the masterful series that is lost. it has as many twists, turns and surprises as the series. if you arent a lost viewer,it may seem a bit random i guess, but for the Others out there, buy, enjoy, and mind the black smoke.
