... well I love it ... !! November 6, 2008 12 out of 12 found this review helpful
Ive read the other reviews and Im quite shocked that others dont seem to love this as much as me.. Theres some really good games on it. I love 'Super Mahki' which is coloured brick game where you remove blocks of the same colour, (they must touch) and try and get rid of all the bricks.
'What is it' is also a good game - a bit like Catchphrase where as the picture appears slowly and you have to type in what the object is as quickly as possible.
'Scavenger' is good - it shows you a picture with loads of small random objects in it and then asks you to find certain items.
'Spellwinder' is set out like a wordsearch - but you the letters arent nessarily in a straight line and you choose each letter at a time, as long as it touchs next to or diagonally to the letter before.
Theres about 20 other games which I havent got to as yet... because Im still busy with the others! A great game for 'mini games'
Only downfall is the multiplayer is a crazy, seems to be neverending... Not sure whats quite going on there!! But overall - a great game at a great price.
Essential purchase for your DS !! November 2, 2008 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
The original Touchmaster was a collection of mini-games with little attention paid to the presentation, but contained 23 varied mini games. Now 'More Touchmaster' see's its return with another 20 games.
There are 5 categories of games; Card games (containing 5 solitaire type games) 5 Action games (featuring arcade type games such as bowling & Billiards) Strategy (with 3 games) 4 Picture games and finally 3 puzzle games.
As with the previous Touchmaster game, presentation is basic but functional, although it has been given a bit of a polish since the last release! Some of the games are very well thought out (the Picture games in particular are excellent) with some of them being on a par with those video games you see in arcades & pubs that have a touch responsive screen where you have to spot the difference or slide pieces of a picture around.
Some of the games feel vaguely familiar, and if like me, you like these types of game them you probably already own '42 games in 1' so titles like bowling & billiards you will already own, and inevitably there is the odd duffer in there, but at this price this is a cracking little title and well worth the money! In fact, I'd say its almost an essential purchase! Highly recommended!
It's growing on me !! November 18, 2008 As a fan of puzzle games, and in particular the first Touchmaster, I was very keen to get my hands on this game when it was released. When I first played it, I just didn't like it at all. However, I have persevered, and now find myself strangely addicted ! As other reviewers have said, the main downside is the lack of the high score table, as this too was a feature I liked with the first Touchmaster, as it made you always want another go, to see of you could edge your way up the scoreboard. However, overall, I am glad I purchased this game, as it has given me many hours of enjoyment.
Not as good as the first - no high score table! November 8, 2008 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
This is a collection of simple mini games. The first Touchmaster was one of my most played DS games, but this isn't quite as good. Two reasons really, one, the games go on just a bit two long, and secondly, there is no high score table! The high score table was probably the sole reason I kept playing the original, and without it this is a little pointless. Also, some of the games, such as the bowling and pool have been done much better elsewhere as (eg on 42 classics). So, if you enjoyed the first Touchmaster this is just about worth getting, but if you haven't get the first one instead.
more touchmaster November 3, 2008 3 out of 4 found this review helpful
i could nt wait for this game to come out as i was addicted to the first touchmaster. i was dissapointed when i did get it as it is no where near as good as the first one. the layout is totally different and the games are nowhere near as good.
