Great For Core January 4, 2006 34 out of 39 found this review helpful
This is a great innovation for the Xbox 360 Core System as iy allows users to save games and to download small files off xbox live marketplace(provided you have xbox live). The product also comes with a handy carry case which is suitable fo transporting to your friends house or elsewhere. This is a cheap alternative to the xbox 360 hard drive. I own on myself and I have 8 games and 4 gamer accounts and i still have 30mb free space. It has 13mb of system information and software on it so don't be surprised to see that it only contains 51Mb when you first recieve it. Overall an amazing product.
worth 17.99 January 17, 2007 10 out of 12 found this review helpful
I was forced to buy one of these recently, and so would recommend that all premium console owners buy one. Basically my xbox hard drive developed a fault, and i was unable to use the console unless the hard drive was detached,so xbox support are sending me a replacement hard drive, but i lost all my save games,so while i wait i had to buy one of these, and i'm going to back up any important game saves on this in the future,as if it happens again with the hard drive,i'll lose all my careers AGAIN.
Do not hesitate,as i have many friends with xboxs' that have also developed faults
Not just a cheap alternative March 20, 2006 17 out of 22 found this review helpful
If you have a Premium edition Xbox 360 then it is also worthwhile buying one of these. Should your 360 develop a fault you will need to send it back to Microsoft to be replaced. Unfortunately they also ask that you send your hard disk too. Understandably, this is a bit annoying if you've played lots of games and made good progress through most of them, so it is worth backing your profile up from time to time! Besides, the memory card uses solid-state memory so its less prone to failure than a hard disk.Rumour has it that the 360's hard disk is encoded to your console serial number once its installed. If this is true, owners of core editions who've bought the hard disk separate should take heed too. Its a bit of a fatalist view I admit, but three of my friends and I have all had problems with our consoles. Early versions are often bugged though.
Enough for Core System! January 18, 2006 11 out of 15 found this review helpful
If you have just bought the Core system and are looking for a cheap alternative to the HD, just without all the space, this is for you. Easily enough for a few XBL names and loads of Offline Games! Sam
What it does August 25, 2007 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
The memory unit stores your gamesaves and ALSO stores your gamer profile. This means you can take it with you to a friend's house. So if you travel a bit or even just play on someone else's console, it's really quick & easy to take your xbox live account with you. It's quick to install. PS - If you're struggling to work out how to transfer your account from the 360 to the memory unit, in the dashboard, go to System, then Memory, then choose Hard drive (if you have one). Click on the profile and the 360 will ask you if you want to move it!
