I must say, after seeing the high price of other component switch boxes and reading reviews on other sites of interference and poor picture quality, I was kind of expecting the worse when I ordered one of these.
I really didn't want a switch that needed a power supply, and didn't think the remote control you get with other units would get much use.
The low price of this straight forward manual switch seemed too good to be true, but after hooking up my Xbox 360 and Playstation 3 to an lcd tv via the box I couldn't be more pleased.
There is no noticeable picture degradation and no interference at all. I am running the two consoles at 1080i and have tested with a variety of games and videos with no problems at all.
The build quality of the item is solid and doesn't give the impression of being made on the cheap, and the switch has a nice smooth (but solid) feel to it as you flick between inputs.
Overall I'm very pleased and pleasantly surprised.

No difference in signal, easy to set up and practical! Now I can have my Wii and my Xbox 360 both set up via Component!

Despite some negative reviews I decided to purchase it because of the price. I did not have any high expectations but I was pleasantly surprised when I used it. It works like a charm.
I plugged in my wii and xbox360 turned them on at the same time, wii running brawl at 480p, xbox360 running oblivion at 720p, there were no artifacts on my TV (sony bravia 37 inch), colors are still the same bright and clear.
I don't know why people had problems with it, but my experience was very positive.

Ordered this because i have a PS2 and xbox360 and both use the componant socket on my TV the device itself works perfect and you change between 3 devices using the switch. Another plus is it doesn't need a seperate PSU so that another plus.
All in all i can reccomend this item if you have only one componant socket and more than on device to connect.

I have a 32 lcd tv (goes up to 1080i) and bought this device for use with a Nintendo Wii and an xbox 360.
I have tested both consoles with & without (basically every combination using the box!!) & did not find any loss of quality in the picture.
I cannot speak for the sound quality as i use a seperate amp for that.
But overall my experience has been great with this product & im glad i decided to give it a go before trying a more expensive option first.
