Used this cable to connect my PS3 to my 26" Samsung LCD TV.
Had to do with the cables supplied with the PS for a couple of days while waiting for the HDMI cable to be delivered, but when it arrived the difference it made was unbelievable !
The Playstation 3 is a powerful machine, and really needs the HDMI connection to show what it is truly capable of. Whilst not noticing a massive difference in sound quality, the picture quality shows remarkable improvement. Not only is the picture sharper, but the colour is improved and really takes advantage of the Samsung's potential 12.8 billion colour pallette.
If you have a PS3 and a good HD TV, then I strongly recommend this product.

Just a word of warning, I got tripped up so maybe this will help others. I have a 1080p Plasma (Pioneer 436XDE) and have used a very high quality HDMI cable to watch 1080p blu-ray DVD's on the PS3. To my surprise, 1080p was not supported, so I called Pioneer. The reason (apparantly) is this - the PS3 currently does not support all plasmas at 1080p resolution - the PS3 boosts the resolution but does not offer the standard industry refresh rate of 24 fps. The PS3 outputs 30 fps at 1080p which most plasmas cannot handle so therefore I had to watch in 720p which was still excellent (I just wanted to compare and see if there was any discernible difference). I feel a patch is on its' way, but check with your display manufacturer first if you want 1080p out-of-the-box so-to-speak.

I think the reason this lead does not work for many people is that your TV must have a HDMI 1.3 socket, not just a standard HDMI socket, only the latest TV's have these. I hope this helps.

my cable works fine with my Sony bravia TV you just have to switch on the port at the back of the TV using the menu for the av sockets after that it works fine no need to trim it plugged right in no messing just make shore you have the ps3 turned off pick the av socket switch the ps3 on if no picture switch off the ps3 and try the next av socket till you find the right one mine is on av 5 on my tv the graphics are amazing and crystal clear

I was nearly put off buying this by the poor reviews, however after investigating further I found the manufacturer had feedback about the thickness of the connector. This was changed some months back, so having recieved mine it is super slim and works superbly, Great value!!!
