There cannot be a Spidey fan alive that hasn't seen the stunning movie trailer for the new film, but rather less is known about the accompanying game. It will feature a free roaming environment similar to the previous games though, which is no surprise considering how popular they are and how most subsequent superhero games have reused the same concept. It's also known that almost the entire movie cast will be lending their vocal talents to the game, including Tobey Mcguire, Kirsten Dunst, Thomas Haden Church, James Franco, Topher Grace and Bryce Dallas Howard. The main villains of the game will, like the movie, be Sandman, Venom and the new Green Goblin. However several other minor Spider-Man villains will also appear from the comics, including Shriek and the mysterious Dragon Boss. More information will undoubtedly show up as the movie's release date grow closer but a teaser trailer of the in-game graphics for Spidey himself suggest that this will be one of the most impressive next gen movies license so far.

I have been a Spiderman 3 fan since it first started. I was the first one to buy Spiderman 1 the movie, that was awesome, then I bought Spiderman 2, that was even more awesome, then I bought Ultimate Spiderman, that was ok. But when I heard that Spiderman 3 was coming out for the PS3 I placed my order straight away! When I got it I straight away put it in my PS3 and started playing!
The graphics were amazing! The gameplay was evern better! The black was so damn powerful. You could kill 100 enemies in 10 seconds with it!
This is the best game in the Spiderman series!
For any Spiderman 3 fans out there you should really get this game!

The graphics aren't that great but still next-gen, the game itself though is very good there are a lot of missions. I have the collector's edition version which I will be selling soon for 35.00 - 40.00 soon on Amazon marketplace look out for it, just like new and it's 50.00 in store at GAME and with that you can even fly around as the new goblin using the sixaxis, if you like spider-man get this game.

I was so disappointed when i heard tht this game had been put back to 18th may so i bought the ps2 version, the ps3 version arrived today and there is so much difference between them u get similar stories but thts it overall the ps3 version is so much better and treyarch have done an amazing job with this game here hoping there is another movie to base a game on

Being able to web around the city, and climb to the top of the biggest buildings has it's feeling of freedom. It's great and New York does look quite spectacular, however there are some small factors to take into consideration before you buy this game.
Firstly, the repetative combat sytem. Fair enough you unlock new moves as your progress through the game, but it always feels as though you are button mashing and doing anything random to basically win the fight, often of which are the same kind of battles over and over. Yeah it's fun, but it gets samey. Also the character graphics, say when peter parker goes civvy are choppy and not very cool looking for a next gen console at all.
The final thing is the boss battles, most of them are easy and involve button pressing at the right time, it's cool but it's taking it out of our hands and milk feeding us the action, however some of them are ridiculously hard, and you can spend up to 30 minutes jumping and pressing square and triangle frantically before his life is even half down. I'm talking about the kingpin.
Dont get me wrong spider man is good, it looks and feels amazing, and is cool the way you can change your suit, however overly hard bosses, milk feeding and repetative combat are all annoying factors which put a downer on the game itself.

Spiderman 3 is a very good game. I have the collector's edition and at 15 more is not worth it, because even though you can be the New Goblin, when playing as him you cannot: do any damage to cars or the environment, 2 weapons : sword and two pumpkin bomb attacks, only one mission (which is against big sandman and very short and the only other things you can do with him is 10 races through hoops! Anyway back to the main part of the game! The graphics in this game are very good (and you can see inside some windows on the buildings too!)The animation is good (but the cutscenes look PS2ish) and so is the sound! It is quite long because after you complete spiderman's game you unlock black spiderman which you redo the whole of red spidey's game only this time playing as the much more stronger black spiderman! By the way you can go into around 20 buildings, you can go into the sewers and subway aswell!
New york it highly detailed to look like the real thing because times square and every thing is in the right place as in real life and is the right shape and proportion! The bad news is that you cannot destroy or even leave a mark on the cars and environment as red or black spiderman! It also lack's a tiny bit of variety but this is overshawdowed by the fact YOU CAN ACTUALLY SWIM(although it definitaly gets boring after a while!)! Overall excellent game i have played each version on every console except psp (by the way what's happened to it) and found the ps3 game had the best graphics and was the longest game to play. Very enjoyable game, my verdict a good spiderman game (especially if you liked ultimate spiderman for ps2!) but couldv'e had more varied gameplay!
