While the storyline is engaging and the art is beautiful the game does get pretty repetive later on, but it's definitely worth checking out.

4 out of 5 stars Another late PS2 gem.   April 21, 2008

Yet another late PS2 title that continues to show-up the lack of decent titles on the PS3. Wonderful 2Dartwork envelopes a sometimes confusing but never less than enjoyable fantasy storyline. Fans of Disgaea can get a new fix here!

2 out of 5 stars Good, if you like doing the same thing over & over!   May 2, 2008

I bought this game while waiting for another to be released because I watched a trailer that looked promising. The game is really well made but the battle system (which is the main focus of the game) is really boring as you just keep fighting the same enemies, in a hack and slash style, in places that look identical over and over as you move between areas.
I played it for about 3 hours before I just couldn't take the repetitivness anymore. everything else is great, the 2D graphics, music & voice acting but when it came to playing the game rather than watching cut scenes and such it's just a total let down. Try again Square-Enix.
