After the succes enjoyed by the manual version of this product I owned I decided to upgrade to the automatic version. This is an excellent product that has repaired well over 100 worth of CD's and DVD's so it has paid for it self 3 times already including replacement wheels, all repairs that i have attempted have been completley succesful. you must follow the instructions to keep the cd wet so that it is lubricated otherwise the disk could get damaged from friction, but that is so simple to do you only have to give the CD a squirt of "resurfacing fluid" (water) each time you use it any you will never have a damaged cd and you only need to keep the bottle topped up with water rather than buy more of it. There are a few drawbacks one is that it is a bit on the noisy side another is that you may have to do the disk up to 20 time for extremly severe damage but it always works eventually. Considering how much money it has saved me this is probably the greatest gadget i have ever bought and a lot more practical than most as well.

I bought the SkipDoctor Automax a few months back and it has proven to be a really good investment. If you have CDs or DVDs that have surface scratches and are not playing as a result, use the Automax on them (it takes just a couple of minutes) and they play perfectly again. Its has saved me a fair amount of money so far by saving me from having to bin my old discs and buy replacements just because of a couple of scratches. Lets face it, discs are very easy to scratch and damage, and everyone gets a bit careless with them. I would advise anyone with a fair sized CD or DVD collection to invest in one of these. The good thing is the disc can be fixed in a matter of minutes so if you have friends over and your entertainment is about to be ruined because of a skipping or hard-to-load disc, it can be sorted instantly!

Within 15 minutes of this dropping through my door i'd recovered 2 xbox 360 games that i thought i was going to have to rebuy (at a retail cost of 80). So am i happy? Yes i am.

My son is not to careful with his play station games and over the last year he has been building up a growing collection of games that have stopped playing due to surface scratches.
This product fixed almost all of them on the first attempt. Only one game still would not play, after another 3 cleans most of the deep scratches had been removed but small scratches remained some were actually caused by the Skip Dr itself. No problem, 5 minutes with a jewelery cleaning cloth sorted them out and, IT WORKED.... Great, saved me about 200 euros in replacement games

Hi there all just a quick comment on this item. I had a read on some reviews on the internet, and well thought this would be best for me. Cheap and easy as well. At first i was skeptical as i never used this sort of thing. I had a disc which had a big scratch on it, a perfect circle in the middle. This was a xbox 360 game disc and was unplayable. After 5 times through this small machine it was working perfectly. It left some strange marks on it that are only visible in the light and the scratch that was on there is still fairly visible. But the game is working GREAT! Would recommend!
