Nunchuk IS compatible April 2, 2008 25 out of 26 found this review helpful
There have been a few reviews that say the nunchuk isnt compatible with this gun, but it is. Rather than plugging directly into the regular port iin the back of the Wii-mote, there is a slot for it at the bottom of the pistol grip, which is a lot more comfortable than if the wire was sticking out of the back. This complaint was one of the reasons I was unsure about buying this, so ignore the comments claiming you cant use the Nunchuk.
Anyway, I recieved this today and I am very happy with it. Although I havent recieved Resident Evil: Umbrella Chronicles (the game I bought it for) through the post yet, it feels very comfortable, and seems responsive. I have tested it with Red Steel, and its as easy, if not easier to control than normal, and the gun feels about the same weight as a regular arcade handgun. Aiming is comfortable, and the sensor being higher that if you were holding it normally doesnt feel off.
A great buy for the low cost it is, and since it uses the original Wii-mote there is no real worry that the gun wont function properly, or not at all, as I've experienced with Light gun accessories in the past on my PS2.
Obviously the face buttons of the Wiimote are situated on top of the gun when in use, but generally when playing the kind of games it is built for these buttons wont be used much, since shooters are more focused on point + B.
Now I just need my copy of RE:UC and I can use it for the reason I paid for it!
JUST LIKE THE ARCADE December 6, 2007 18 out of 19 found this review helpful
Great gun for playing Umbrella Chronicles.
The aim is fine and the sensor is not blocked. The buttons on the Wii mote are harder to use with the gun but the nunchuck has the same controls as the Wii mote so this is not a problem.
I can't wait until House of the Dead comes out on the Wii then it will just be like playing it on the arcade machine.
wii light gun - venom April 1, 2008 15 out of 16 found this review helpful
Just got this gun today from amazon, have only used it with 'Links Crossbow Training' so far, but i think it's great(i found the wii zapper awkward). It's a nice size, fits well in the hand.The wiimote fits in snugly and there's a fold up clasp under the front tip of the barrel to make sure it doesn't move if you need to shake the gun. The trigger feels nicely sprung and realistic and the whole unit feels solid and well made. The nunchuck plugs into the bottom of the pistol grip and you hold the nunchuck in your other hand. All in all a very capable addition to your wii accesories, i'd recommend it! Hope this is helpful for anyone looking for a wii light gun.
is wicked April 27, 2008 7 out of 7 found this review helpful
This is a brilliant accesory;
It is moulded to your hand, it is light and is great at far cry vengance. Also, the nunchuk is conected to the bottom of the stock, making it comfortable to use, The trigger has a bit of resistance to make it seem realistic and it connects up directly to the 'b' button.

Hi all just purchased the Light Blaster Gun (pistol) by Venom and thought I would share my thoughts.
It is made in the UK and feels solid enough and the trigger is spring loaded. The pistol grip is comfortable and the vibrations from the wii controller can be felt through it. The remote fitted snugly into the housing and there is a lock which prevents the remote from falling out. At the bottom of the pistol grip is the connector for the nunchuck which is another good plus point for games like Medal of Honour.
Took a gamble buying this as Im not keen on the wii zapper and Nyko perfect shots are rare. Can't comment on the accuracy of the gun sight for shooting without the reticle on games such as ghost squad as I have'nt tried it yet!
Overall Im very pleased with this 3rd party gun and it's well worth the money.
