I must admit I received this CD before seeing the film and wasn't sure if I liked them. But I have literally just got back from seeing the film and they are instantly a hit. You can relate the songs to whats happening in the film and they are slightly more serious! The film follows a similar pattern and the songs tell the usual story e.g Now or Never is the basketball game and the team are struggling especially Troy. I Want It All is a Ryan and Sharpay duet. The Boys Are Back is especially good in the film as well as the song, great dancing and beaty number. Scream is the new Bet On It with Troy getting angry! High School Musical is the grand finale just like All For One. All in all the film is great and seems to definitely signify the end so whether rumours of a forth is true or not, this film didnt seem to show any signs of another, it seemed pretty final. The soundtrack will grow on you just like all the others. Definitely has to be added to the High School collection!

After watching the film, I wasn't sure whether I really liked the songs. After the first listen, I promise almost anyone who isn't listening in a public place will sing along when the songs come 'round again.
The songs have great lyrics, which are easy to remember and catchy. The actual songs are also really well written.
The best songs are probably "Now or Never", "I Want It All" and "The Boys Are Back"

This CD is fantastic, I bought it straight after going to watch the film at the cinema and the songs were still as good as they were in the movie, my fave songs are want it all and now or never.

the music great especially when the first time you see the film.
ive been able to relate to the films from the beginning but this one is by far the most emotional. the music puts across so many feelings that made me cry 4times throughout.
buy the CD after youve watched the film or you wont get the entire impact of the music.
Excellent CD December 28, 2008
I am significantly older than my five year old who loves this, esp the waltz song which she performs beautifully with younger sister. Just had to give 5 stars to try to compensate for the people who rated this low having thought it was the film as well as the soundtrack..!!!
