House On Haunted Hill [2000]

The story starts off showing an insane surgeon splitting open a mans chest while he screams in pain. Minutes later there is utter mayhem as a whole hoard of angry people trash the place and everyone dies as the surgeon presses the switch to shut the whole place down.

From there the story unfolds and reveals the house is more than just a house...its a playground for spooks and al things creepy...

This film is by far one of the scariest Ive seen and I would recommend it to anyone, buy this and see for yourself.

This film is one that you do not see very often at all, It gives you an insite to what really went on in these asylems and what some will say, still goes on. And the building and all its well designed features go together well. I have been told it was filmed in a real closed down asylem somewhere. And the ending was one in which you cant help but wonder if there will be a second story line to go with it. The lighting affects were very good, with the old strip lighting they had then. But at the end of the day i would advise anyone to watch this film as it is truly excellent.

I can truly say that this is the scariest horror film I have ever seen to date. I have never been so scared during a film that I have had to actually 'scream' (well, make noise) to release the scaredness... I watched it alone, with the lights down and the surround sound on.

It's not got an amazingly complex story, but it is certainly enough to make the film satisfying story-wise; it is so full of twists you are always wondering how much of it is 'real'...

The soundtrack is terrifying, if you have surround sound it's even better. Once, due to reflex reaction, I looked across the room at a sound from the film.

Gory, shocking, fast-paced, twisted. I was skeptical that it would be a stormy-night-power-cut-let's-go-into-the-basement-and-see-what-the-noise-is film, but it is definately the best film of it's type I have seen...

I must say,this is the scariest film I have ever seen in my life
I put it on for about 30mins and I had to switch it off because it was really affecting me in that kind of deep mental way.We were watching this in a friends house (Bob's) after which I tried to return home,I couldn't even though the house was full.I ended up driving to Cardiff and spending the night in a service station car park in my car.If you Really want to watch this film
make sure you take a sleeping bag.
