A slight problem for left handers August 4, 2007 I bought this game a few months ago. I don't have an HDTV but that didn't matter as the graphics are awesome. Skin textures are fabulous too and the in ring camera brings you closer into the match.
From my title if you're left handed i would not recommend this game to you as you need to use the right analog stick to throw the punches and this cannot be changed.
I took Fight Night 3 back for this reason as my brother is left handed and it took 3 moves to knock him out.
If you have purchased a Fight Night before on the ps2 i urge you to buy this but if you have Fight Night 3 on the PSP you may find the game too easy like me and be number 1 within 2 hours.

Well ive only been playing for two days but this game is alot of fun. I can imagine it doesn't have the longevity of some games but for unbridled violence it fits the bill. The control system (right analogue stick controls punches as if you were throwing them) makes this the most satisfying boxing game ive ever played. Boxing games tend to dissapoint but this one puts that preconception to bed.
Good fun Potentially repetitive but one i think will stay on my shelf and not on ebay
Lets get ready to RUMBLE!! January 30, 2008 This was one of the first games i bought for my PS3 as i have been a fan of the series since Fight Night 2004 on the PS2. This is basically the same with a few added extras and much better graphics. To be honest, i'm not even a boxing fan but i still enjoy this game as its fun to pummel people! If you are a boxing fan then this is definately the game to get as there aren't any other decent boxing games out at the moment (there aren't actually ANY other boxing games for the PS3). The controls take a little while to get used to but once you get into the game it's much more rewarding winning fights when you're not just button bashing the whole time. Despite what others have said on this page the graphics are really good. you can see each individual drop of sweat on the boxers and cuts and swelling also look really good. Its also good fun to play this game with other paople and the online mode i've found to be very reliable. There aren't any issues with lag and you can always find people to fight. Overall, a good game that i would recommend to anyone but especially fans of boxing.
Great fun if you don't mind arthritic hands December 28, 2007 I got a PS3 with Fight Night 3 for my other half for christmas, and have found the game highly enjoyable so far. Both of us enjoy a multitude of different game types (football, shoot em up, fighting etc) and so we were not looking deep into the game, novice computer boxers as we are. The game is fun if you like to beat the stuffing out of your opponent, in a slug fest. Yes you have to time your punches using the right stick, but I like the idea of this as opposed to 'button bashing', and you also have 2 further Impact punches to throw at your opposition. Swing and miss, and you will get battered in a counter-attack from your opponent. The graphics are good, the replays with bone-crunching-spit-flying sound and effects are really funny, especially with face rippling punches. All in all, when you play for a while, ie a few 10 round matches, then your hand joints will cripple up, however if you like an entertaining yarn to while away some spare hours this is good. And Ricky Hatton is just as ugly in the game as real life! (Ahh sorry Ricky)
Great two player game January 2, 2008 This has to be the best two player game so far, so much fun as you punch the crap out of your mate lol. The controls are a bit awkward at first but you'll get used to em'. The only reason why this ain't gettin' 5 stars is coz of the online play, it's very jumpy and pauses alot. Apart from that it's a wicked game. Get it and enjoy
