this game is the best out for ps3.
when i got this game with the ps3 on march 23 2007 i couldnt play anything else because i loved this game so much.
graphics are great, storyline is brill, and so is everything else about this game.

I got this game for christmas and have to say. What an amazing game. It incorporates most of the Playstation Features: Motion Sensetive, online Play (Up to 40 People!) and outstanding graphics. A Game to get for any first person gamers or Ps3 fans in general.

Gameplay - 9/10 - game never gets dull for one second and is full of stuff to kill!!
Graphics - 10/10 - Perfect in every way
Lifetime - 9/10 - long missions and online play lasts forever
The story line of this amazing first person shooter is as follows; Evil creatures who go buy the name of chimera have invaded and taken over the world. You as Nathan Hale are one of the remaining soldiers who survive and your mission is to save England form the Chimeran invasion.
POSATIVE
As far as gameplay goes this game is fantastic. Although the general aim of each mission is the same (get from A to B killing all chimera in sight without KO-ing) the game does throw in some nice changes along the way such as driving a tank and even Chimeran fighting machines.
With the decent number and range of weapons the missions become all the more exciting. You can choose to do close up 1 hit KO shooting with shotguns, keep your distance and use a sniper or the classic fire a machine gun like a maniac way. Also there are a few grenades thrown into the equation so you can fight you battles any way you wish.
The enemies themselves work very well. Unlike many combat games they don't spend most of their time out of action just wondering around aimlessly. They are all tactical (i.e. they know how to hide from view) and very aggressive.
Graphically Resistance look wonderful. The weapons look real, the people move realistically and look like real humans and the Chimera are as scary as they could possibly be. All the maps are very detailed from bullet marks to bushes that sway in the wind.
The online feature of this game is just as good as the offline. Most of the game maps are available to play in and have been extended to fit in the huge 40 player games! The games can be customised from 1 hit KO to infinite ammo. The more kills you get the more your character can level up through the ranks unlocking new kit for your character. Furthermore doing well on the offline single player game unlocks new skins for online play.
Offline multiplayer consists of co-operative and the traditional seek and destroy style multiplayer. Also unique games like melt down are available as well as the traditional last man standing. (All these also for online gaming)
NEGATIVE
There are only a small number of negative features to this game. The first and most noticeable is the lack of ammo available for the more exciting weapons. This means you will mostly rely on the more dull weapons making some levels a bit tedious. secondly there aren't many missions where you fight with fellow soldiers by your side which prevents the game feeling so much like a war game.
Overall the game is one of the best around and should not be missed if you are a first person shooter fan!

This is my first PS3 game. First let me tell you a bit about the game itself. Its esentially a mix between Call of Duty 2/3 and Halo 2/3. It resemebles Call of Duty 2 for the most part.
Whats it about????
Its a tradtional 1st person shooter set in WW2 with an alternative reality were aliens know as Chimera have landed. You get stand WW2 weapons which include a 2nd type of fire. Along with great / in genious alien technology based weapons and a few vechiles to drive and fire.
Story....
The story is actually pretty good for a FPS and really sets the scene for a likely second game (hopefully), its interesting enough and the cut scenes are well placed and keep the story going nicely.
Graphics....
Cutscenes look great on a standard scart 18 " TV, and fantastic on a 32 " HD LCD TV. The actual game looks fantastic on HD t.vs and still looks great on a bog standard 7 year old tv too (i know this as played it out on both).
Gameplay...
This game is a lot of fun and you get a lot of satisfaction from killing the Chimera. There is a bit of blood in there for good measure and the enemys fall and die in realist ways. The weapons are one of the games strongest points, each weapon has an alternative fire which tends to be extra useful in certain circumstances. I will not spoil it for you but you love most of them, some very orignal ones too. There is no slowdown at all that i have seen for the whole game which is very addictive. Using the Ruger (sniper rifle) is a blast as you have a lot of zoom available to you and additional option of slowing down time and really making the perfect headshots with a nice sound and blood splat very satisfying...
Sound
The sound is great , just what you'd expect, nothing knew with the sound system does the job nicely. No annoying music, and all the relvant weapons and kills give a satisfy noise. The cutscene voice acting is spot on too.
Multiplayer...
Standard multiplayer options are avaiable along with a few unique ones, not too many maps. This will keep you busy a while large battles are worth trying say 8 V 8 human against Chimera??? with the great selection of weapons its a lot of fun.
Replay
The game is defienetly worth playing a second time as (slight spoiler here) you get some taste weapons to use for your second time round which you'd do on the hardest setting (provided to played the first time on normal) plenty of nice achivement style things to unlock along with multiplayer skills and documents. Single player (with access to psn) will get a decent amount of gameplay out of this even if only played once though 8 - 15 hours 1st time depending on skill setting and your own skill of course.
Summary...
This is one of the first titles out on PS3 and frankly its one of the best at the moment till bigger titles come out. There is a small selection of games out there for PS3 at the moment. So if you did not get this with your bundle its a definte must Top marks!!!!

not going to bore you with a massive write up!
at the end of the day the graphics are amazing, gameplay is brilliant (takes some getting use 2) and the co-op mode is great fun with mates (if you have any)
buy the game- you wont be disapointed
