Beware, this game is fun for all the family. My children and wife love playing it so much that I can't get on the PS3! They love playing as 'superstars', playing doubles against pros and playing against aliens.
It's difficult to find as an updated version is due in early (?) 2008 - probably including Andy Murray.
In the mean time this is the best family game (alongside Singstar) - against the (currently) threadbare competition on the PS3.

Virtual Tennis I Have Love This Game Since I First Play It Years Back In Arcade.I Have Had All Of The Versions For The Ps2.So when I Finally Got My Ps3 This Was One Game I Was Defo Going To Buy.
The Graphics Are Brilliant The Players Look So Life LikeThe Only Probelm I Can See Is Their Is No Andy Murray But No Dout He Will Be In The Next One.This A 5* Star Game Everyday Of The Week.

I had this game on the 360 and was really pleased with it then i traded my 360 for a ps3 and bought this game again and what a difference it is on another console. Its more brighter and colourful and you can do serves of 160mph with roddick where on the 360 version you could only do 130mph. Also i played this online on the 360 and the connection suffers lag all the time so its much better playing with a mate round your house then across an internet connection. overall a great game, buy it.

Yet again Ricardo Rebelo has another attack at the PS3 and all it stands for. If you read all his reviews, anything PS3 has 1 star. What a loser. WHY does Amazon post such reviews, you can clearly see he doesn't even own a PS3. I'm lucky to have PS3 and Xbox 360 and too be honest it's hard to say which is best. The man forgets the 360 at launch, 10 times worse than PS3. This is a good title, if you like Tennis then this is an essential purchase. As for the rating i'm putting 5 and 5 just to combat RR review. I'll give it to the guy he's got something against Sony, maybe he's angry that he didn't wait for the PS3 and is in a fit of jealousy.
Anyways avoid his reviews, because they are not reviews and Amazon should know better.

I have had this game for around 2 weeks now, and i have been playing on it whenever i could. The graphics, soundtrack, and choice of arena's and mini games is second to none!
The World Tour Mode is brilliant. You start off as rank 300th and you have to train and compete in tournaments to rise through the ranks and become the worlds number 1. As your rank rises, more tournaments are available to compete in, which means the opportunity to rise even more, although the opponents are slightly harder. The loading and saving times are much better than on ps2 and psp, also.
All in all, this game is well worth the money! You will end up not being able to put it down. I fully recommend it to anyone who has a decent amont of time on their hands, and thoroughly enjoys a challenge!
