1 out of 5 stars a cynical release   November 24, 2007

Ubisoft have exploited game players in a very cynical way. Yes the graphics are excellent and I enjoy the somewhat repetative game play (when it can be played). However, this is ruined by the constant crashes and freezing. The game was clearly rushed for the all important Christmas release before it was fully tested and completed to a level that deserves a 40 quid price tag. 40 for a failed, untested, overhyped, overpriced piece of software not fit for purpose. If you as a consumer are happy with that, fine. I personally think we deserve better. Hence only one tiny star can be given.

1 out of 5 stars Really poor fun   December 10, 2007

Right, it looks amazing.

But the camera movement is all over the place. It's virtually impossible to have your character run in a straight line as the camera moves from left to right constantly and you character changes direction as a consequense.

For non-English speakers the tutorial is extremely quick as it explains only in writing a few seconds what is high-profile, low profile, running, tackling etc. And there's no chance in h... you can find that information again.

It's extremely repetitive. Same dumb stuff over and over again. You just have to go through the same idiotic tasks a trillion times in different settings that eventually just look exactly the same anyway.

And that annoying voice over whenever it's loading telling you the same pointless stuff a million times... What I would given to have shut her up.

This is not worth the money.

1 out of 5 stars R E P E T I T I V E - DO NOT BUY.   January 2, 2008

I bought this game because of what I read and what I saw but I regretted it, after the second assassination I realised that it was very, very, very repetitive. So much so that I returned it and got Bladestorm: The Hundred Years War instead. Much better game with many, many hours of replay value, hundreds for some people (including myself). This game is a waste of money and for 40, you get a game that can be completed in 10 hours, but gets boring after 2. Nuff said......except DO NOT BUY!!!!

1 out of 5 stars Good at first but wait for the problems   February 22, 2008

In short.

Initially the graphics aret pretty amazing and the abilities you have seem well thought out and designed. The moves you have seem endless.

Unfortunatley this game was designed around the xbox 360 The frame rate is not great on the playstation 3 and as you progress throughout the game it does get worse, so much so that I sold my copy!

Also the game does get quite repetitive towards the end as you find yourself doing exactly the same things but in different towns. Also, towards the end a few annoying glitches crop up which can make completing the game difficult.

Overall its very fun, but gets old fast and the frame rate problems are very frustrating for a ps3 lover!
