good launch title December 18, 2006 2 out of 3 found this review helpful
I bought this game with my wii and also zelda, ive been a big fan of the SMB series and this doesnt disapoint, the graphics are nice and colourful, the use of the wii remote is so natural to roll the monkeys around its like your not even thinking what your doing its instinctual, the addition of the jump is a welcome improvement, not only do you get a good main game ,but also 50 "party" games, unfortunately this is a matter of quantity over quality, some of the 50 you will play once i fear, but in the 50 there are some nice gems and some old favourites return. My personal favourite is the whack-a-mole one ! overall i only gave it 4/5 as if you play the party games alone they are not as much fun as with friends, and the music! sooo annoying (only way to stop it is to turn the volume down on the tv)if your after a party game this is the one(dont bother with the rayman one)
Super Wii game, fun for all April 30, 2007 2 out of 3 found this review helpful
The main game in Super Monkey Ball: Banana Blitz is very much like Kororinpa Marble Mania and if that is what you are after, I would look at Kororinpa, BUT that is not the reason why I love the game. I finished the 'main game' the first time I played it.
There are many mini-games in Super Monkey Ball: Banana Blitz such as frisbee, squash, bowling and such. The games are designed to play with 2 or more and are a lot of fun. The graphics are very Japanese, and may seem childish, but the games are a lot of fun for all. They make very good use of the Wii controls and in fact every mini-games does that in a different way.
Coming back from a drink, playing this for a while with friends is just the funniest thing. I do not think you can go wrong with funny games that you can play with friends such as this game or Wii Sports, they are timeless fun and that is what the Wii was designed for.
Good, Monkey-Based Fun... February 12, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
If you've ever played a "Super Monkey Ball" game - you'll know exactly what to expect here. You pick a monkey, they get put in a ball, you roll the ball to the goal - simple. Except - as you'll know if you've played a game in the series - there'll be an all manner of increasingly devilish things thrown at you.
Picking up "Banana Blitz" for the first time, you'll noticed the controls are a little awkward (holding the remote on you palm and tilting it around), and not as responsive as earlier "Monkey Ball" games, and as such, the levels have been made a tad chunkier and easier. Still, once you've progressed through the game and reached the later levels, they won't stop you tearing your hair out in frustration. But, if you do get a bit angry, there's a MASSIVE selection of minigames for play, all using the remote in a unique way, and it's a great multiplayer experience.
VERDICT: Great fun, and there's no better thrill than mastering those tougher levels.
Great game. Loved it **** September 17, 2007 0 out of 1 found this review helpful

Good! July 26, 2008 i would recommend this game if your a smb fan. Although it is frustrating to control when u play it for the first time but u soon get used to it. The reason i have rated it 4 stars is cos u cant play 2 or more players on the stages which is a bit dissapointing but overall i think its a good game
