5 out of 5 stars No problems with it   February 11, 2008

I do not understand why people complain about this control. It isn't that bad. It's just a control and you play games with it. OK it doesn't have rumble but it isn't something t be missed that much, motion sense is better for me. It is a good control that allows to play my games.

I have a slight disability of the left side and have little control over my left hand's fingers. This means I can't use a games controller in the way they were designed, instead I stretch my right hand over the controllers and use it with just one hand, the only thing that is hard is using the left-hand shoulder buttons. Everything else I can use very easily.

I was delighted when I saw that Sony was keeping the old design for the PS3 controller. While I can use the Xbox/Xbox 360 controller and GameCube controller fine, I have always found the layout of the PlayStation controller (especially the analogue sticks) to be in the best position for my control method.

The only sad thing about the Sixaxis is the lack of rumble support but Sony are releasing the new 'DualShock 3' soon that will have all the features of the Sixaxis but with rumble support too. Plus many games already released for the PS3 are getting patches to make them support rumble.

5 out of 5 stars Brilliant... WHY change perfection!   September 16, 2007

the Playstation controler has always been the best designed controler ever to hit the gaming world, i mean sure its been almost the same now for over 10 years but the truth is that this controller works, and if somthing works dont change it...

The Breakdown
- The Lack of Dualshock - Who cares, personally i found this feature annoying in previous contolers and found it did nothing more than rumble at inapropriate times during a game adding absolutly no more realism into a game, and just making you more aware your holding a controler,

- The Sixaxis - Ok so its not a new idea and its more a gimmick than anything else, but still it turns out to be a nice niffty little feature like shacking off aliens in RFOM.

- RECHARGABLE - BRILLIENT!!! plug it in to the PS3 USB socker and it recharges.... enough said.

- PS button - Great little feature, press it during a game and you get the XMB options, how clever.

- Waight - Now this is one of the things i was most supprised at when i first picked up this controler, it waighs vertally nothing, which i think is amazing to say this thing has a rechargable battery unit inside it,

- The Plastic - AH! the plastic does feel a little cheap and less sturdy than the older controler but lets face it that happens with all products over time, although i must say i do like the semi-solid colour thing its got going on.

All in All, its great... the concept is still sound and the enhancments work nicly to bring this controler into next gen gaming

I used this controller with the PS3 at Game On. It is fantastic. The technology is far more advanced than the Wii. Another great bonus for the PS3!!!!!!!!!!

I agree with the positive reviews, this controller is a gem.
I love it!! Seeing as its wireless your not limited to sitting close to the tv (or far away with a cable deathtrap!)
I have not yet had the chace to use the sixaxis, but thats not really the important thing for the controller. The fact they kept their original design is what pleases me the most as i have always found this to be the best controller out there.
The l2 and r2 buttons have also been improved, now acting as triggers which i find more comfortable.

Overall if you liked the old ps1 and ps2 controllers i dont see any reason why you wouldnt love this one!
