simply the best! Sony has a winner with this machine... and as for GT Prologue... it's awesome! I use a wheel (Logitech Driving force pro 900 gegree turning, mounted to a Supido Hyper Drive)it's an ACE set up!! and it's just like the real thing! All products thanks to Amazon!! Thing is...i'm so tired now... I pulled an all nighter as I couldn't leave the game alone!!

im a solid nintendo supporter, but when i saw that the wii wasnt going to have high end graphics, i was shocked, if i remember rightly, the gamecube was the most powerfull of the consoles at the time, now the tables have turned, im a man of graphics and games, and im disapointed by nintendo for not even trying to compete with the other consoles. so i've switched to sony (now the review starts) and i have to say what an amazing console this is...feature wise, it supports:
*blu-ray disc (25/54gb a disc)
*hd/hdmi cable
*full 1080p
*great range of games(if not a bit limited)
*excellent music support.
*great interface on the home menu
*and a whole host of other features...
Now about the xmb (cross media bar) it beats the wiis channel interface and xbox's dashboard, by a mile, its very ergonomic, and unlike the dashboard or the wiis channels (the latter not supporting any sort of theme or personalisasion options) the xmb is almost invisble if not used for 1minuit or so, making your display picture in the background become a screensaver. i love these small features. PSN is in a different league compared to XBL, paying 40 a year for a laggy (admittidley all xbox games have some support online) messy, and quit frankly annoying online service, just isnt acceptable. psn has just had a make over, making it all glossy, and loading times are now allmost zero. psn is also free, obviously it has plenty of micropayments but the free content(demos, trailers etc...) is excellent, now the six axis, probably the ps3 only weakness, its incredibly light, but the dualshock 3 controller, is a hell of alot heavier than the old dualshock, tape a weight to the back or something to find the perfect weight for your controller (joke) also the sixaxis is a comnplete copy of wiis remotes, and there was no need for it because now all the next generation of consoles will have some form of useless motionsencing in it, USELESS, also lair is a total flop, DO NOT BUY.
Some excellent ps3 games are (some maybe multiplatform):
*my fav, uncharted: drakes fortune, best graphics on ps3
*WARHAWK must get it imediatley plz

I have the PS3, and its a great console, blu-ray is just a added bonus over other consoles.
However, i was thinking of ordering this bundle as a present for a friend. My question is: If i Pre-Order this, will i get it the same day as release (28.03.08. Or will it be shipped on that day. Becauses im sure i've pre-orered other stuff from amazon and its been delevierd for the day of release.

I have had a PS3 for some time now and i can safely say it's a fantastic console, and to be bundled for the same price with GT5 pro is amazing! Yes I know its not the full game, that'll be out around 2009 i think but great games take time! What your getting here is a fantastic console, reliable, free online gaming, blue-ray, wireless the list goes on! Buy it you won't regret it

Great stuff here... loads of features and can always find somthing to play or go browsing on the net as some browser games work on it and youtube in the living room is pretty cool! but as for backwards combatabilty.... to have the ps2 games in the 1st place you must OWN a ps2 right? well why dont u just play that for ps2 games! and hardly any consoles are backwards compatable apart from the ps2 so your not gonna get any better from other consoles.. unless you get 60gb which can atually play old ps2 games.
