We all know it's gonna be fantastic don't we? October 8, 2006 69 out of 137 found this review helpful
I won't going to write a review until i read the Sony fanboys 'reviews' at the bottom. My question to them is- what? What are you talking about? Stop telling us that it'll be rubbish and to buy a ps3- as far as i'm concerned the original Halo games still (and will continue to) dump over any FPS on any Sony console. PS3 or not. I know my rants are pointless here, as do i know they've never played the damn game, but Halo is a fantastic experience. And as for the quote 'Halo is dead', again- What? With 4 novels, a graphic novel adaption, an absolutely massive fanbase AND a movie (with peter jacksons WETA workshop team behind the special FX) I'd say it's a little more popular than you realise. (Breathe...) Ah. That's better.
Now go back to playing Sing Star Deluxe on your (cough) Pink PS2's or whatever crap it is you seem to find fun.

I've seen a couple of screen shots for this game and I have to say Halo 3 will definitely be the best game ever!! Of course I haven't actually played the game because its not out yet, so I really don't know what I'm talking about. But as I'm basically a moron who reviews games and rates them as classics and masterpieces before I've even played them, I'm giving this 5 stars and I recommend that you should all buy it, based on my extremely limited views.
Believe the hype. . . September 22, 2007 4 out of 7 found this review helpful
I managed to buy a copy of Halo 3 yesterday thanks to lack of knowledge of some blue-rinsers at Tesco and all I can say is this game is amazing. It feels much more like the original Halo but with a far more expansive gameplay area. This in itself makes the game feel suitably epic for the final instalment of the trilogy but some of the 'set pieces' in the opening levels are huge and really makes you feel like you're in the middle of a war rather than just a skirmish.
Anyway, this is Halo 3 as we all hoped it would be - just buy it!!
everything and more- a new "must have" for 360 October 24, 2006 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
okay i believe this may be the first product review on this page for the actual game, so i'll try to be as helpful as possible. apart from being everything that people had hoped from the new halo title, there are many new and innovative features to the game. what you won't realise until playing is the new fighting system which allows for new "strangle point" areas on the battlefield. this basically means rather than fighting a string of random opponents, the a.i are organised and fight accordingly, making a campaign on "heroic" mode really quite difficult unless a strategic approach is used. the key is to prioritise targeting, taking care of snipers and commanders first, then clearing away anyone left behind. this is only the single player game by the way, and the opportunity for online modes including online 4 player co op makes this more tempting than the older style fps titles. further points of interest is the inclusion of new brute armaments such as the grav hammer and chopper bike (great for running enemies down), giving the game a balance of strategic and heavy-handed gameplay for every shooter fan to enjoy. one last point that may seem trivial to some is the new level of balance given to the "havoc" physics engine, meaning unlike fighting covenant vehicles from halo 2 which had a bit of a plastic toy feel to them (particularly during explosions), now each enemy and vehicle has been fixed to feel more robust and realistic. i'm not a massive halo fan myself, but i have enjoyed the series for the immediate likeability it offers, due to the epic yet uncomplicated plot and action elements. this game is a must buy, in the same way as gears of war and oblivion were, as it pushes expectations of gameplay and visuals to new heights, making even my dreams appear worn and last generation!
so overall i would say: graphics- 10/10 a.i- 8/10 length of play- 8/10 overall fun- 9/10
Halo3 by far the best game EVER! November 15, 2007 2 out of 3 found this review helpful
Muti-player has lived up to halo2, new medals and titles make it more fun! Single player is great fun, the new scoring sytem is well thought of. online co-op is great up 2 4 players! graphics are intence on any tv, overall best game of its time. 5 stars
