A brilliant game! The graphics are superb, the gameplay is flawless! It won't take you that long to get defeat Bowser, but finding every cannon, pipe and mushroom house, as well as the Star Coins, will take you some time! So, don't worry about it being too short! As for multiplayer, that's great too! Race across any of the five available courses, trying to get five Power Stars before your friend does! The courses range from a wood similar to the first level in the game, an underground level filled eith blocks (Mega Mushrooms not advisable!), a pipe filled dungeon, an icy level with a blue Koopa that gives you a Ble Shell if you stomp on him, and (my least favourite), a dungeon of Bob-Ombs with a moving ceiling! Mini-games are great too! So...BUY IT!!!
btw, hold down L+R while selecting your file to play as the awesome Luigi!

We've bought several games for our son who owns a DS. He's only 6 and the youngest, but he has managed to play this game without any problems. He has advanced quite far into the game and it's one of his favourite DS games, in fact it's one of two that he takes on every long car journey. We will definitely be buying more Mario games, to go with Mario Kart (his other fave) and this one. Highly recommended.

Id give it 100 out of 5... It's just Mario with one of it's best versions!
You've got to run, jump, swim and fly!! There are 18 really enjoyable mini-games
Get it if you have the chance!!!!

With all the emphasis on 3D immersive gaming I've been finding most modern video games lack the sense of fun of yesteryear. Now all that has changed with the release of New Super Mario Bros for DS.
Quite simply if you own a DS it is your right to buy this game. Some people will tell you it is too short - well yes it can be finished quickly - but that misses the whole point of the game. With many items to find and extra worlds to unlock not to mention the replayability of it all this game just won't disappoint.
Know someone who owns a DS? Know someone who loves video games? Or do you match this description yourself? If so just please buy it. This game deserves to be recognised.

Gorgeously realised and highly addictive, New Super Mario Bros is the crowning achievement (to date) of Nintendo's latest handheld console. The game plays like an amalgam of Super Mario 3 from the NES with the Super Mario Land series from Game Boy, meaning that there are big bosses, secret routes, costume changes and an interactive world map. Its possible to play the game from start to finish in 3-4 hours, but thats only if you don't collect the (often tricky to locate) golden coins along the way. Plus, there are plenty of mini-games to play that are just as addictive as the main 1-player game. All in all, New Super Mario Bros. is a welcome addition to the Mario series, blending old with new to give fans a fantastic gaming experience!
