5 out of 5 stars Good pad   October 29, 2007
5 out of 7 found this review helpful

i have no idea why people dislike this pad, its the same as the ps2, which is a very good pad. and to the person who said they got sued for dual shock, they are dumb, dual shock was their own design, what they got sued for was the motion sensor and that was by nintendo, so get your facts right you idiots, i will admit the pad isnt as responsive as it could be with the motion sensor but it works fine, its a nice pad, light and comfortable, and who cares if it doesnt vibrate, that was just anoying and i always turned it off, not like it makes things anymore real, like WOW explosions feel like a pad rumbling in your hand..., ya sure, the pad works and is very comfortable, if you like the ps2 pads, you like this

5 out of 5 stars Only pad to keep analogue buttons   March 10, 2007

A little-known fact is that the SIXAXIS is the only pad that has kept the analogue face buttons used so effectively in games like Metal Gear Solid 2 and 3 for readying your weapon and then easing off the trigger as you gently let go of the button.

Metal Gear Solid 4 is another game set to use the new SIXAXIS pad in innovative new ways. In one trailer scene Snake is seen entering an empty oil barrel only to tip over and roll through a number of enemy soldiers to knock them out. You guessed it - by tilting the SIXAXIS you'll be able to replicate these actions and feel closer to the onscreen experience.

The SIXAXIS gives you the best of the pad controls you know, love and are comfortable with AND new tilt sensitivity.

5 out of 5 stars This is Amazing.... and so LIGHT :)   April 10, 2007

I got my PS3 three days after it came out and when I tried the controller out with Motorstorm, the reaction of the car to what I did to the controller was very accurate almost as if I was driving a car for real. I am hoping to get another SIXAXIS Wireless Controller as the PS2 controllers don't connect unless you have an adapter.

You can also assign the controller to a choice of four slots situated on the front of the console. If you have two controllers you can charge them at the same time and if you have a racing game such as Motorstorm, make the other player sitting next to you bite your dust!

You should definately get this as it is the latest in gaming technology and will amaze you at how brilliant it is. They are bringing out more games compatable with this amazing function so you can have hours of fun acting like your in the game!!!!!!!!

Better than the Ps2 controller. is Reliable. The only down part possible to them is they havnt yet built in the rumble function.

5 out of 5 stars Brilliant controller, but the dualshock 3 is the bee's knee's   December 6, 2007

Okay, this controller is wonderful, I mean light and robust. I've dropped it several times and my son threw it against the wall twice(pretty hard), but I was shocked to find it was still fully functional. Anyway, the sizaxis is great especially on games it does give it the extra edge in gaming. I don't know what the other guy in this review is talking about the trigger buttons being awkward and hard, but they are great. They are pressure sensitive which will work with games to come.

Overall and great controller for the price. Anyway, went to TGS07 and played around with the dualshock3 and I will admit it is lovely to have the rumble back, but the great thing is that this time the rumble is done in such away that you can feel where it is coming from, is that ingenious or what.

Anyway, you can buy this as the dualshock3 will be hard to get hold of and will be sold out before you know it.
